VoltGen Energy is led by Hovik Akopyan. It operates under Akopi Builders, a general building contractor that builds and remodels homes in Los Angeles.
VoltGen Energy operates under Akopi Builders, CSLB #1112420. Electrical work is performed by licensed C-10 electrical contractors. Check the license at CSLB.
Why the construction side matters
Most of the hard electrical work in an older house is getting to it: through plaster, around built-ins, under finished floors, while people live there. Working alongside a builder means wire routes, wall openings and repairs are planned together instead of left for someone else to sort out afterward.
How we work
- We look at the whole house before recommending anything: the panel, the service and the existing wiring.
- Load calculation first. We do not recommend a new panel unless the house needs one.
- Written estimate with the scope, the permit and any wall openings spelled out.
- Permitted work, inspected by your city or by LADBS in the City of Los Angeles.
- Warranty: One year on parts and two years on labor.
